Syuen Yue Phua


Syuen is an associate in Trowers & Hamlins' International Projects, Energy and Infrastructure department. She is based in our Malaysian office. 

Syuen was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in August 2023. Prior to joining the firm in April 2026, she has practised in two top tier Malaysian law firms.

Syuen's practice focuses on non-contentious matters in the fields of energy and infrastructure including power and renewable energy projects (thermal, solar, hydro and biomass), transport infrastructure projects (airport, rail and roads) and data centre projects, with experience spanning both project development and investment transactions.

Her experience includes drafting and negotiating key project documents including power purchase agreements, construction agreements, joint venture agreements, supply contracts, land lease agreements as well as shareholders' agreement and share subscription agreements.
