Rebecca Cheshire


Rebecca is an Associate in Employment and Pensions department, based in our Birmingham Office. 

Rebecca qualified in September 2021, and spent her first 12 months of qualification working in-house at the Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, before joining Trowers and Hamlins LLP in 2022 to specialise in employment law. 

Rebecca has experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law. On the contentious side, she has assisted with claims for unfair dismissal, redundancy pay, unlawful deduction of wages and claims for discrimination brought under the Equality Act 2010. Rebecca's non contentious experience includes reviewing and preparing suites of employment contracts, drafting bespoke HR policies and handbooks, drafting and negotiating COT3 and settlement agreements, as well as supporting clients with day to day and discreet enquiries. These include in relation to absence management, dealing with employee capability and conduct issues and the general implementation of grievance and disciplinary procedures.

Rebecca is also able to provide corporate support for mergers and acquisitions and has experience assisting with strategic projects including redundancy consultations. 

Rebecca is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
