Trowers advises The Guinness Partnership on its merger with Shepherds Bush Housing Association


Trowers & Hamlins has advised national social housing provider, The Guinness Partnership, on the financing aspects of its acquisition of Shepherds Bush Housing Association that sees the Association become a subsidiary of the Guinness Group.

The Guinness Partnership has added 5,000 Shepherds Bush Housing Association homes to the Group, bolstering the existing portfolio of 64,000 homes. Trowers advised on all financing aspects of the merger for The Guinness Partnership, which involved the team reviewing over 20 funding agreements and negotiating 11 required funder consents within the confines of a challenging timetable. 

The Trowers team comprised of Eleanor James, Jasna Djurisic, Jerry Wang and Jonjo Parry (Banking). Devonshires LLP advised SBHA and Addleshaw Goddard LLP advised the majority of funders.
