Ali Auda

Ali is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team and is based in our London office.

Ali is a dual English and New York qualified lawyer in the Construction Disputes department which he joined in 2026 from Mayer Brown International LLP.

Ali specialises in complex, large-scale and high-value projects within the energy, oil and gas, transport, utilities, infrastructure, and residential and commercial development sectors. He has represented international and local developers and construction companies, including contractors and subcontractors, across all stages of a dispute: from early-stage claim review and pre-dispute strategy through to formal proceedings.

In doing so, he has worked with a variety of standard forms including FIDIC, JCT, IChemE and bespoke agreements such as EPC and O&M agreements. Ali also works alongside delay, quantum and technical experts in the context of construction and engineering disputes.

Ali recently represented a major Gulf contractor in a dispute involving a significant project in the western region of Saudi Arabia. He provided continuous strategic advice over the course of circa. 4 years which led to the successful settlement of several disputes valued in excess of SAR 5 billion, thus avoiding the need for arbitration altogether.

Ali has been recognised as a Key Lawyer for International Arbitration by Legal 500, reflecting the trust placed in him by clients.
