David advises Registered Providers of social housing and residential developers on a diverse range of development projects, including estate regeneration, joint ventures, strategic land assembly and acquisitions of industrial or commercial sites for residential redevelopment

Recent highlights include advising VIVID on its acquisition of a site in Eastleigh with outline planning for 1,100 homes in partnership with Highwood Homes and Eastleigh Borough Council.

David also specialises in advising on development finance and institutional investment in the residential sector. Recent work includes acting for ReSI REIT on its acquisitions of over 2,000 retirement living homes and acting for its subsidiary ReSI Housing (the UK's first for-profit Registered Provider owned by a listed fund) on its acquisition of shared ownership homes from Crest Nicholson and Metropolitan Thames Valley, and its strategic housing partnership with Morgan Sindall Investments.

David's clients also include Homes England and the Greater London Authority, whom he advises on their debt funding of infrastructure and land acquisitions by developers to accelerate housing delivery.
