Sophie Miller


Sophie is an Associate in the Employment department which she joined in 2017.  She is based in our Manchester office.

Sophie supports the team in all aspects of employment law on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. In particular, Sophie has experience advising clients on Employment Tribunal matters in which she is required to provide in depth assessments of case prospects, draft pleadings, witness statements and other tribunal documents, liaise with the Tribunal and all parties accordingly and take part in any settlement negotiations as required. In addition, she advises on employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance issues, national minimum wage and calculation of annual leave, and long term sickness. Sophie is also responsible for drafting bespoke employment contracts, staff handbooks and settlement agreements.

Sophie assists with data protection work, in particular, drafting GDPR compliant documents including privacy notices and data protections policies, and also provides legal advice in relation to subject access requests.

Sophie is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
