Sara Bailey
Sara is the Senior Partner of the firm. This is a role which sees her acting both externally, as an ambassador in the firm's engagement with clients and the wider legal and business community, and internally, as a leader in the delivery of the firm's "2030 Strategy" to be the firm of choice both for its clients and its people.
As a leader, Sara champions diversity of thought and believes in leading from the front in an empathetic and people-orientated way. This translates both to how she engages with clients and leads the Trowers talent of today and tomorrow.
Sara was previously the head of Trowers' pre-eminent Real Estate practice and has over 30 years' experience in the sector. She is a trusted adviser to a range of private providers, local authorities and central government developers. She retains a passion for helping businesses and governments shape the way we live and work, driven particularly by the positive influence the built environment can have on people, places and communities.
Recognised as an 'Eminent Practitioner' by Chambers UK and in the 'Hall of Fame' by Legal500, Sara has long specialised in development, regeneration, PPP projects, partnerships and joint ventures. She continues to be called upon for her expertise in providing innovative structuring advice – helping clients navigate and deliver complex, and often high profile, real estate projects and regeneration schemes.
She is a regular speaker at high profile industry conferences and events, including MIPIM, and is a member of the British Property Federation's Development Committee.
As a Patron of LandAid, Sara works with the charity who provide relief and security to the most vulnerable across the country. She is a Trustee and Vice Chair of the World Child Cancer charity, and a founding Trustee and Acting Chair of the Ambitious Together Foundation, a charity championing young people with Care experience supporting them into the workplace. Sara is also a member of the Future of London Board and a Board Member of Open City, a charity dedicated to making London and its architecture more open, accessible and equitable.
