Hannah Jakeman


Hannah is an Associate in Trowers & Hamlins' Dispute Resolution and Litigation team specialising in commercial litigation and private wealth disputes.

Hannah regularly advises clients involved in corporate and commercial disputes, disputes emanating from private wealth, trusts and estates, fraud investigations and can also provide risk management advice.

In relation to corporate and commercial based disputes, Hannah has  assisted on cases including advising charities on matters relating to the actions of trustees and the mismanagement of charity funds and shareholder disputes (including one that involved a 5 week trial in the High Court). Hannah also provides general advice to commercial clients on potentially litigious matters as well as advising on restrictive covenants on employment related matters.

Hannah's experience with private wealth disputes is varied and has included an international trust dispute involving property related issues, disputes involving numerous high value assets to be distributed between beneficiaries who are disputing the will, and cases involving the validity of the estate being disputed by the beneficiaries and assisting the executor with the administration of the estate. More recently Hannah has assisted on a matter relating to a disputed death bed gift, on behalf of the Defendants, which resulted in a 7 day trial at the High Court.

Hannah has experience of both the County Court and High Court as well as alternative dispute resolution at all stages of litigation.
