David Cordery
David is a Partner in Trowers & Hamlins' Projects and Construction department.
David specialises in commercial construction law; advising on, drafting and negotiating construction contracts, including building contracts, consultant appointments, agreements for lease, development agreements and asset protection agreements. He has considerable experience in all major industry standard forms (including JCT, ICC, NEC and FIDIC) as well as bespoke contracts, working principally for private sector developers and funders.
David works across a number of sectors, including the luxury residential, retail, industrial and office markets, the hotel & leisure sector and is also a specialist in the development of film, TV and music studio space. He is noted as a key figure by Legal 500 in both Non-Contentious Construction and the Hospitality and Leisure sector.
David is active across thought leadership initiatives, including the UK Screen Investment Programme, looking at stimulating collaboration and investment in the Film & TV industry and also co-authoring Trowers' reports investigating modern methods of construction (MMC).
