Webinar: Sector Risk Profile 2026 - Risk, regulation and resilience
Following the success of our previous Sector Risk Profile events, we are delighted to invite you to join us for the third annual instalment of this popular discussion
The last twelve months have been among the most consequential the sector has faced in recent years. Against a backdrop of political change, a renewed national focus on housing delivery, evolving regulation, increasing expectations on building safety and stock quality, and continuing financial pressures, boards and executive teams are navigating a changing risk landscape.
At the same time, the ambition to deliver More and Better Social Homes presents significant risks, and opportunities for the sector, whilst raising important strategic questions around investment priorities, organisational capacity and long-term resilience.
This year's event will provide an opportunity to explore the key risks facing the sector, consider how organisations are responding, and discuss the practical implications for boards and senior leadership teams.
We are pleased to be joined again by Will Perry, Director of Strategy at the Regulator of Social Housing, who leads the Regulator's strategy function, including policy development, business intelligence, stakeholder relations and private finance. He will share his perspective on the Regulator's current priorities and the key themes emerging from the latest Sector Risk Profile.
As in previous years, we will also be joined by senior figures from across the sector, including Emma Palmer, Chief executive - Platform Group, and Shaun Holdcroft, Head of Affordable Homes - L&G Affordable Homes, who will discuss how their organisations are responding to current risks, the challenges presented by today's operating environment, and the lessons they have learned along the way.
Topics are expected to include:
Key risks identified in the latest Sector Risk Profile
• Delivering more and better social homes - balancing growth, investment and resilience
• Consumer regulation and landlord performance - maturing from implementation into application
• Governance capacity and assurance in a changing regulatory environment
• Data quality and assurance in an increasingly regulated environment
• Mergers, partnerships and organisational scale as a response to financial pressure
• Emerging risks and opportunities
The session will combine regulatory insight, sector experience and practical discussion, providing an opportunity to reflect on the challenges ahead and consider how organisations can best position themselves to respond.
We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be another engaging and insightful discussion.
