International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has advised the lenders, MUFG Bank, Ltd. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, in connection with the financing made available to Diyos Renewables India Project Private Limited for the design, construction, development, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a 100 MW AC wind energy generation project in Bijapur, Karnataka, India.
The project represents a significant renewable energy development in India’s growing clean energy sector. Set to be commissioned in 2027, the project is expected to produce around 330 million units of clean energy each year and reduce over 250,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, making a significant contribution to India’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
