Paul Whittington
Paul is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation department, based in the London office.
Paul advises clients across the real estate sector on a broad range of contentious commercial and residential property matters, acting for developers, institutional property investors, housing associations, occupiers of both commercial and residential premises and private individuals. He specialises in landlord and tenant disputes, with particular experience in lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, dilapidations claims and reinstatement, break notices and break rights, recovery of rent arrears, service charge disputes, forfeiture and possession claims. He also advises on property-related insolvency matters and development-related disputes, including adverse possession, easements and restrictive covenants.
Paul has experience advising on the evolving residential landlord and tenant landscape, including matters arising under the Renters' Rights Act, and advises both landlords and tenants on the implications of this shifting legislative framework.
