Rahul Sagar
Rahul is a Partner in the Banking and Finance team of Trowers & Hamlins' London office.
Rahul’s practice focuses on banking and finance, with a particular emphasis on private credit and asset-backed strategies. He advises banks, asset managers and hedge funds on a broad range of domestic and cross-border investment transactions, using both traditional and hybrid capital solutions.
Rahul regularly works with clients deploying capital across the full lifecycle of an investment, from origination to exit. His experience spans the capital stack, enabling him to advise on both conventional lending structures and more complex and layered financing arrangements.
Rahul has particular expertise in back-leverage (including loan-on-loan, forward flow and warehouse-style financings) and in the use of structured finance products as investment tools including as an alternative to, or alongside, traditional lending.
Rahul previously worked in-house at one of the world’s largest asset managers and in private practice at a Magic Circle law firm, giving him a strong understanding of both investor priorities and transaction execution.
