Ben Neary


Ben is a specialist in commercial real estate investment transactions and portfolio management, acting for a variety of clients, from large UK pension funds, to private equity investors on the full range of real estate matters throughout the office, retail, leisure and industrial and logistics sectors.

Ben's experience includes managing large scale mixed-use schemes and advising on development projects and the acquisition, management and disposal of primary, secondary and tertiary investment properties. He also has notable experience of Landlord and Tenant matters, and advises both landlords on portfolio and asset management strategies and tenants their on occupier requirements.

Ben is renowned by his clients for his ability to identify the key points in a transaction and provide clear advice and recommendations based on his experience.

Notable projects on which Ben has recently acted include:

  • Acting on a £180m acquisition of 10 loan books secured against over 50 properties across the UK and the subsequent implementation of the loan-to-own strategy and the exercise of the lender's power of sale.
  • Advising a local authority pension fund on the £45m acquisition and leaseback of a distribution hub in the West Midlands.
  • Advising an institutional investor on the redevelopment and pre-letting of an A3 scheme in central Cardiff.
  • Acting for a global software company on the leases of its first office in the City of London and the relocation of its UK headquarters.
