Gary Leckenby


Gary acts for both funders and registered providers in all aspects of property charging and refinancing work, including undertaking property due diligence; preparing, taking in and negotiating certificates of title; and dealing with conditions precedent under loan agreements.

His experience in secured lending extends to large scale private and social housing property portfolios and commercial real estate. He is experienced in drafting and negotiating City of London Long Form Certificates of Title and managing portfolio transactions.

Throughout his career, Gary has acted for a variety of lenders including both national and challenger banks and building societies providing facilities (including development finance) to registered providers, SMEs, and wealthy individuals.

Gary has been involved in a variety of transactions including those involving capital markets debt (undertaking property due diligence for bond issues), Islamic finance, and taking security over real estate to secure pension liabilities. He has also managed the transfer of a large volume of properties as part of an amalgamation of two registered providers.
