Gary Leckenby
Gary is a Senior Associate in the real estate finance - security team and is based in our Manchester office.
Gary acts for funders, borrowers, and registered providers in all aspects of property charging and refinancing, including undertaking property due diligence; preparing and negotiating certificates of title; and dealing with conditions precedent under loan agreements.
His wide-ranging experience in secured lending extends to large-scale private and affordable housing portfolios, commercial property, and high-value residential transactions for domestic and offshore borrowers.
Throughout his career, Gary has acted for a variety of lenders including national, challenger, and private banks, building societies, and affordable housing loan aggregators, providing facilities (including development finance) to corporate borrowers, SMEs, high net worth individuals, and registered providers of affordable housing.
Gary has been involved in diverse matters such as capital markets debt, Islamic finance, taking security over real estate to secure pension liabilities, and large-scale property due diligence using AI products.
