Rachael Hobbis


Rachael is a Partner in the Projects and Construction team and is based in our Birmingham office.

Having extensive experience in both non-contentious and contentious construction law, Rachael advises clients on all aspects of non-contentious procurement matters and construction documentation. She advises developers, employers, funders, contractors and consultant clients in relation to commercial and residential development, healthcare, retail and education projects.

Offering support throughout the life-cycle of a project, Rachael advises on all manner of construction documentation, whether standard or bespoke forms.  

Rachael also deals with all forms of dispute resolution including court proceedings, arbitration, mediation and adjudication. She is noted in Legal 500.

Rachael holds the following roles:

  • Regional Board Member for Constructing Excellence Midlands as Company Secretary;
  • Chair of the Constructing Excellence Birmingham and Black Country Club;
  • Member of the Steering Group for the Constructing Excellence and West Midlands Combined Authority's Housing Pilot Programme;
  • Visiting lecturer to Part 3 Architecture Students at Birmingham City University;
  • Past visiting lecturer at Aston University

Rachael also regularly speaks at conferences and last year spoke at Offsite Expo 2025 on MMC and at Construction Week on building safety.
