Douglas Rhodes

He is head of the firm's cross-departmental Building Safety Group, with a particular focus on in-occupation management, and heads up the firm's contentious residential landlord and tenant practice. His other practice areas include development disputes (e.g restrictive covenants, adverse possession, rights of way, party wall issues), rights of light, service charges and leasehold management, contentious trusts and land transaction disputes. Douglas's work is mostly aiming at resolving disputes before Court proceedings become necessary, but he has experience of successfully resolving disputes at all levels of the Courts and Tribunals system, from the First-tier Tribunal through to the Supreme Court. Douglas is a member of the British Property Federation's Residential Management Committee, as well as being a member of the Property Litigation Association and a legal affiliate member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Society, which is a learned society for professionals with an interest in party wall and neighbourly matters.
