Jo Davies


Jo has worked at Trowers & Hamlins for over 4 years advising clients on contentious and non-contentious construction related matters, principally within the residential, industrial and office markets, waste and education sectors. 

Jo has been recognised and "recommended" by the Legal 500 2018/19 as part of the Manchester construction practice. She regularly acts for public bodies, employers, contractors and commercial and residential developers.

Jo has particular experience in drafting and negotiating amendments to all major standard form construction contracts including the JCT, NEC and IChemE suites of contracts as well as security packages, bespoke professional appointments and joint venture agreements. Jo also specialises in advising housing providers and local authorities on agreements for lease and development agreements.

She also has experience in advising clients on a range of disputes arising out of construction projects, including construction litigation, adjudication and alternative dispute resolution.

Jo is helping support initiatives to bring school and college students into the construction industry. Jo along with her team members have written a construction law course being taught in schools as part of the Design Engineer Construct course which is being sponsored by the construction industry and equips school leavers for careers in the sector.
