Mark Castelino
Mark is our Construction Knowledge Lawyer and supports our national Construction Practice working closely with our Energy and Sustainability, Planning and Environment and Real Estate teams too.
Mark's role includes both internal and client training, Construction and Built Environment current awareness and horizon scanning (which includes involvement in government consultations on new legislation and the production of regular internal updates and client alerts on our Building Interest hub), developing internal and client-focused know how notes, creating, developing and maintaining precedent Construction documents, practice notes and toolkits and risk related matters. Mark's role also involves providing technical advice and support to lawyers across different practice areas and cross team sector-focused groups.
Mark is also a member of our firmwide Knowledge Group which is focused on the delivery of enhanced knowledge and legal information to all lawyers in Trowers & Hamlins.
Mark trained with a Magic Circle law firm and worked as a non-contentious construction and projects lawyer on UK real estate developments and international infrastructure projects and on the full range of building and engineering contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, MF) before becoming a knowledge expertise lawyer.
Mark is the current Co-Chair of the UK Association of Construction Professional Support Lawyers and also sits on the Construction Industries Council Liability Panel.
