Trowers advises on the sale of Oakley Advisory to Houlihan Lokey

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins is advising the shareholders of Oakley Advisory Limited ("Company"), the independent corporate finance advisory firm that provides a range of services to clients across the digital infrastructure, communications services and cloud sectors,  on the sale of the Company to an affiliate of Houlihan Lokey, Inc (NYSE:HLI), the global investment bank.

In connection with the transaction, the executive team of the Company will join Houlihan Lokey to lead the expansion of the firm’s market-leading digital infrastructure coverage into Europe bringing with them experience of more than 150 transactions with a combined deal value of over £35 billion. The transaction will add a further 14 financial professionals focused on digital infrastructure within the Global Technology Group, bringing the size of the Houlihan Lokey global Digital Infrastructure team to over 40, and the Global Technology team to more than 235 financial professionals across 14 offices. The transaction is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2023 subject to customary regulatory approvals.

The Trowers & Hamlins team is being led by partners Mark Churchman (M&A and Private Equity) and Tim Nye (M&A and Private Equity) and includes Victoria Smithers (Corporate) and Angela Alvey (Corporate); Sean Donavan-Smith (Financial Services Regulatory) and Tim Anson (Financial Services Regulatory); Matt Whelan (Data Protection); and Nathan Williams (Tax) and Anna Shemeld (Tax).
