The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published draft guidance on the right of subject access under the GDPR.
It covers topics such as finding and retrieving the relevant information, how to supply the information, manifestly unfounded requests, claiming exemptions and dealing with information about third parties.
The consultation on the draft guidance is open until 12 February 2020. The responses to the consultation will inform the final published version, taking into account experiences in dealing with subject access requests since May 2018, as well as areas in which organisations are seeking further clarity.
