Mariam Yassin
Mariam is an Associate in Trowers & Hamlins' Projects and Construction department where she completed her training contract.
Mariam supports clients across a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, working with landowners, developers, institutional investors and registered providers operating in the residential (including BTR and alternative living), mixed use, commercial and life sciences sectors.
Mariam has experience advising on the construction, redevelopment and refurbishment of a wide variety of sites and assets, each with their own procurement approaches and complexities, including both Design & Build and Construction Management structures. She regularly assists with drafting and negotiating key construction documentation such as development agreements, building contracts, professional team appointments, trade contracts and security packages including bonds and guarantees.
She is also highly experienced at advising clients on the construction aspects of their funding arrangements. This includes carrying out construction due diligence, reviewing and incorporating lender requirements into construction documentation and managing the discharge of funder obligations to facilitate smooth and timely project drawdowns.
Mariam brings a practical, collaborative approach to her work and enjoys supporting clients and project teams to help deliver developments that positively shape the built environment and achieve clients' commercial objectives.
