Nita Mistry is a dispute resolution and litigation Partner in the Projects and Construction team,  based in Manchester.

Nita specialises in construction, infrastructure, and energy disputes. Her practice spans the full project lifecycle of projects, combining contentious and advisory work to help clients manage risk proactively and resolve issues efficiently. Nita works closely with clients to deliver clear, practical solutions.

Nita has extensive experience in international arbitration, litigation, adjudication, expert determination and mediation and regularly leads complex, high-value disputes.

Nita has advised on a wide range of complex projects across the UK, Middle East, Africa and Asia including major infrastructure developments, hotels, airports, hospitals, road and rail projects, as well as large scale building schemes. Her experience covers disputes arising from delay, disruption, defects, design issues, building safety, fire safety and cladding, water ingress and leaks as well as payment and commercial issues under various contracts including NEC, JCT and bespoke contracts.

Her energy sector experience includes disputes relating to power stations, solar farms, grid and distribution network infrastructure, desalination plants, and nuclear projects as well as oil and gas disputes.

Nita also advises on Private Finance Initiative (‘PFI’) and Public Private Partnership ('PPP') projects, including operational issues and the handback of PFI assets.

She is recognised as a Future Leader in Construction by Lexology (formerly Who's Who Legal) and as a key lawyer in  Legal 500 for contentious construction.
