Jasna Djurisic

Managing Associate

Jasna has worked in the affordable housing sector for over 25 years and has a very broad range of experience in social housing finance.

Jasna advises both borrowers and lenders on a wide range of funding structures including bilateral and syndicated loan facilities, refinancings, sustainability-linked financing, bond issuances, private placements, EMTN programmes, ISDA arrangements, and security trust structures. She is particularly experienced in complex treasury and financing projects arising from mergers, acquisitions, group reorganisations and transfers of engagements, including lender consent processes, funding restructurings and security matters. Jasna's recent experience includes advising on the £1.55 billion financing arrangements supporting the first stage of the SettleParadigm merger, one of the most significant merger financings in the sector, and supporting The Housing Finance Corporation group on the launch of its innovative National Wealth Fund-backed programme to provide long-term retrofit funding to registered providers. Her practice also encompasses property security, governance and charity law considerations, enabling her to deliver practical, commercially focused advice across all aspects of a transaction.

"Jasna's work with Coastline spans 7 years and the partnership between Coastline and Trowers has enabled fantastic quality advice that combines assurance to our Board and commercial insight on finance documentation. The speed and efficiency that she and the team deliver in working with chosen finance providers has been an integral feature of how we have continued to be a significant deliverer of new social housing for Cornwall. Added to all of this is that she is a delight to work with and always makes the time to understand the organisation and person she is advising."

"Jasna has supported me in delivering new financing deals since 2022. The outcome of this work has provided Westward Housing Group with loan agreements worth £110m to support the development of 1,500 more social homes in Devon and Cornwall’s communities. Jasna is a key member of the high performing [housing finance] team at Trowers & Hamlins led by Eleanor James [and Natalie Singh]. Jasna applies her skills and knowledge to good effect in agreeing an action plan and keeping all tasks on target. Jasna’s effective communication skills give me assurance and clarity over complex and higher risk areas of the loan agreement. She provides me with good suggestions to avoid onerous conditions and is always up to date with her knowledge on contemporary funding and legislative changes. Jasna works in partnership with both me and the funder’s legal advisors [to keep] the legal process on track. This is so important to ensure that available liquidity is compliant with my Board’s policies and regulatory expectations. Jasna’s input on my board approval and checklists of conditions precedent are well honed processes supported by clear papers. She is instrumental in ensuring that satisfactory governance processes support the Board’s final approval and the legal completion of the loan agreement. Trowers provide this high degree of customer support on a competitively priced schedule. If you are looking for a reassuring route to legally completing your next funding deal, I am happy to recommend Jasna."
