William Barakat
William is a Senior Associate in the International Corporate Department, based in the firm’s Singapore office. He advises on international corporate transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, private investment, corporate structuring and general corporate advisory work.
William acts for a range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, hotel owners, developers and institutional investors. His work includes acquisitions and disposals, shareholder arrangements, investment platforms, corporate reorganisations and ongoing company matters.
Having spent the majority of his career in London before relocating to Singapore in 2024, William has significant experience advising on inward investment into the UK, particularly in the real estate and hospitality sectors. He now advises clients across ASEAN and the Middle East on international M&A and investment activity across the UK, Asia and the Middle East.
