Adam Berman

Adam has considerable experience advising clients in both the public and private sectors across a broad range of commercial disputes, including complex contract disputes, professional negligence claims, breaches of directors' duties/restrictive covenants/confidence, and shareholder disputes. He also has specialist expertise in providing media and reputation management advice to companies, non-profit organisations (including charities), and high profile individuals in respect of defamation, privacy and data protection from both a claimant and defendant perspective and often on a very urgent basis. As a member of the firm's contentious insolvency team, Adam is also routinely instructed to advise companies, directors, creditors and office holders in relation to a wide range of contentious matters, including wrongful trading and misfeasance claims.   Adam has been commended by clients for calm and commercial approach to disputes. He is well versed in all forms of ADR and is a keen advocate to using this as a means to exploring whether a commercial resolution can be achieved without recourse to litigation, but also has a track record of successfully running claims all the way to trial where necessary.
