Julien Allen


Julien has over 20 years' experience in all aspects of commercial property transactions including large City centre development projects, investment sales and acquisitions and portolio financing.

He has particular recognised expertise in forward funding and forward sale structures and development joint ventures.

Julien specialises in the Leisure sector, acting on the establishment of restaurants and clubs for Richard Caring's Caprice/Birley groups, Ivy Collections, Hakkasan, Dynamo Restaurants and Yamabahce as well as numerous other restaurant, club and bar operators and breweries. He heads up Trowers & Hamlins' Hotels & Leisure Group.

Julien's principal clients include BT plc (for whom he acted on the BT Sport television studio development at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and on the redevelopment of Rugby Radio Station), US REIT Global Net Lease, M1 Real Estate, Marchmont Farms Limited and Alburn Investors.

He recently acted for the London Borough of Hackney on their high profile £55m development and funding of the new Hackney Walk fashion outlet.
