Ivy Acorda
Ivy is a Partner in the Projects and Construction department specialising in non-contentious construction law and acts for a wide variety of clients including private residential developers, hotel developers/ operators, commercial and leisure developers, banks, schools, landlords, tenants, contractors, consultants and local authorities.
Ivy specialises in advising clients on procurement strategy and drafting, negotiating and finalising various construction documents including development agreements, funding agreements, building contracts, consultant appointments, pre-construction agreements, bonds and guarantees.
Recently Ivy has advised clients on variety of matters including drafting development agreements for construction of build to rent schemes in London, building contracts based on JCT forms and consultant appointments for refurbishment and construction of high end hotels in Central London and bespoke trade contracts for a refurbishment and fit out of a membership club, advising on construction aspects of an acquisition of a major building in London and negotiating a forward funding agreement and agreement for lease relating to construction of an aparthotel.
Ivy has a master's degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution.
