How can we help you?

Elite independent law firms from across the world have descended on London for the 2018 Joint Regional Meeting of Asia Pacific and EMEA partners of the global elite network and legal practice, Interlaw.

Hosted by international law firm Trowers & Hamlins – the English-law partner firm of Interlaw – the 4-day meeting sees partners from Interlaw’s Asia Pacific and EMEA regions meet alongside industry experts and clients to debate the hot topics set to have a major impact on the global legal market.

These include the impact of technology such as AI, cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, diversity and inclusion, multi-generational workforces, and social networking, as well as wider political and economic factors including global trade post-Brexit and the opportunities and challenges for international expansion.

Trowers & Hamlins Senior Partner Jennie Gubbins said:

"We are delighted to welcome our fellow Interlaw partners to London. This meeting provides an opportunity to build on the existing relationships with our Interlaw colleagues across Asia Pacific and the EMEA. It also offers a platform to join together to discuss the developments, not only in our industry, but also the impact of change on a global scale. I believe we will leave with lots of ideas and insights that will continue to help us to adapt and thrive in the current climate and in the future."

Interlaw Chair, Michael Siebold, said:

“We all know the legal sector is facing unprecedented change, and this is not only true in terms of the pace of technological developments and political and economic factors, but also in terms of how clients procure legal services. Without the overheads of international law firms, our elite network is perfectly placed to adapt to the changing needs of clients in today’s fast-paced world.

“Our elite operations around the world, are built on the high quality of our member firms, and the trust and collaboration between those firms to deliver the best service to clients. Meetings like this are vital to share expertise, hear from leaders in their fields, and debate solutions to ensure we’re at the forefront of the latest developments to provide the best advice to our global clients.”

Trowers & Hamlins joined Interlaw in 2014. Chambers and Partners ranks Interlaw as a global elite network, with 7000 lawyers in more than 140 cities worldwide.
