Trowers advises SteriPack on acquisition of Kinneir Dufort


Trowers & Hamlins has advised SteriPack, a leading global contract manufacturer serving the medical device, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic markets on the acquisition of Kinneir Dufort.

Based in Bristol, Kinneir Dufort are a user-centred design and product development consultancy that combine creative, technical and user experience expertise to deliver world changing products and services for medical, consumer and industrial clients.

SteriPack, who are a portfolio company of leading mid-market private equity firm, Inflexion, provide outsourced design, development, manufacturing, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and supply chain services for medical device, diagnostic and pharmaceutical businesses, producing a range of products.

The addition of Kinnier Dufort geographically expands SteriPack’s design, development, human factors research & engineering capabilities creating a European R&D Centre of Excellence.

Globally, SteriPack now has over 150 specialist staff dedicated to medical device and life science product design and development, providing an integrated and holistic service from product origination through to volume manufacturing.

Trowers advised SteriPack on a full range of legal issues relating to the acquisition, including corporate commercial, data protection, employment and intellectual property matters.
