International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has opened a Korea desk to provide a dedicated full service offering for Korean businesses to support their legal needs in the UK and internationally.

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has opened a Korea desk to provide a dedicated full service offering for Korean businesses to support their legal needs in the UK and internationally.

Building on the firm's long standing work with Korean businesses, the team has been set up to enable easier communication and an enhanced service offering for Korean clients and their global business operations and investment. The bilingual team's cultural understanding and knowledge of Korean businesses and investors will allow the firm to open up its global service capabilities to Korean clients across a number of jurisdictions.

Jennie Gubbins, senior partner at Trowers, said:

"We have a long history and strong track record of assisting Korean clients at Trowers and a wealth of experience assisting Korean businesses with investments into, and projects involving, the UK and the Middle East. This is an exciting opportunity for us to develop and work with our Korean client base and contacts, making it easier for us to help them achieve their goals."

The Trowers & Hamlins Korea desk is managed by three internationally-trained and fully qualified lawyers, based in London and the Gulf, who can communicate fluently in Korean and English.

London based associate, Saerim Kim, who trained with the firm, said:

"This initiative will enhance our ability to support our Korean clients and contacts, providing a one stop shop for communication and access to all our offices and teams."

The Korea Desk will also be providing regular updates in both languages, to Korean clients and contacts on topical issues and advising on information of relevance to their businesses and investments.
