International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has been announced as the winner in the Offshore Finance category at the Islamic Finance News Awards 2019.

IFN will host two awards ceremonies for the 14th year running, recognising the best and leading players in the global Islamic finance industry and their contributions in 2018/2019. The ceremonies honour those that have played a critical and impactful role in unravelling the potential of Islamic finance to a wider base of investors and audience.

Trowers' 'dynamic real estate business' was commended by the judges, described as 'fundamentally off shore as they traditionally guide GCC and Malaysian investors into the UK.'

Partner Nick Green said:

"Receiving this award in the Offshore Finance category demonstrates the continued strength and success of our Islamic finance, cross-border and inward investment and real estate practices. The projects we are involved with, as with this one, are often first-in-market and it is fantastic that we continue to be recognised across the sector and internationally."

Partner Tony Poole said:

"Our clients appreciate the multi-disciplinary expertise, experience and innovation we bring to Islamic finance deals and the range of specialists we have in each relevant sector. We are delighted to have received this award which recognises our firm as one of the leading players in the Islamic finance industry today."
