International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has strengthened its real estate offering, recruiting partner Fiona Thomson.

Fiona joins the firm's Birmingham office from DLA Piper, bringing with her over 26 years of experience.

She has advised owner occupiers in relation to freehold and leasehold acquisitions and forward funding of strategic projects and advises developers, particularly in the industrial and office sectors. She has also a broad range of commercial real estate experience in both the public and private sectors, as well as in advising landowners disposing of land for commercial and residential development.

Amanda Hanmore, head of Birmingham's Real Estate team, said:

"This is a significant and positive time for the firm's Real Estate team, both here in Birmingham and nationally. Fiona's presence will help enhance our client offering and her extensive experience and specialist knowledge lends valuable additional capacity to our existing national team."

Fiona said:

"Trowers is a strong and well-established real estate business which will offer quality expertise and cost effective support for my clients. The Trowers team has had a fantastic year and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to its growth and future success."
