Trowers & Hamlins announces new office heads across its GCC offices
International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has announced the appointment of new office heads across its GCC offices.
Abdul-Haq Mohammed, Head of International at Trowers & Hamlins, says:
"Firms like ours with deep and historic roots in the region will at times go through generational changes and this is one of those moments. We have given responsibility for the oversight of our GCC offices to a new generation of partners, all of whom have demonstrated both client relationship skills and management ability. The role of office head is both an ambassadorial and pastoral one and I am confident that this new cohort have these skills in abundance."
In Abu Dhabi, Youssef Boulos replaces Guy Danalis, who has retired from the partnership. Youssef heads the firm's hospitality team and has a particular reputation for advising Middle Eastern clients on outbound investment work to the UK and Europe.
In Dubai, Cheryl Cairns takes over from Martin Amison. Cheryl is head of the firm's regional construction team and is a respected specialist in contentious matters.
In Bahrain, Jeremy Ingham succeeds Dominic O'Neil. Jeremy is head of the firm's regional banking team and is also known for his expertise in financial, regulatory and fraud investigations.
In Oman, Tom Wigley took over as office head last year upon Jeremy Ingham's return to Bahrain. Tom is the firm's head of regional energy and natural resources and has acted on a diverse range of projects across the Middle East.
"We are grateful to all of those long-serving partners who have stepped aside to allow this new generation to come through," says Abdul-Haq Mohammed. "Dominic and Martin in particular will be concentrating on client relationships and supporting me and this new leadership team in developing the business in changing market conditions."
