In the first piece in this months' edition of Local Government Matters we have included a link to register for the launch of the CfGS and Localis report and toolkit on governance, risk and resilience.
This report, and practical toolkit for officers and members, is the result of a huge amount of research and interviews with local authority officers and members who have been at the sharper end of governance challenges. We are very proud to be one of the sponsors of this practical guide which will provide a framework to assess the strength and areas of potential risk within your local authority's governance systems. Sir Bob Kerslake and other notable speakers will be helping to launch the toolkit on 9th March.
Also in this edition are some great articles from a range of specialists at Trowers & Hamlins together with links to the two webinars led by Amardeep Gill for the Lawyers in Local Government Wellbeing week. They are thoughtful and eye opening. We hope you can find some time to listen to them. You wont regret it.
