In our second session after the festive break, we'll be turning to immigration, right to work and recruitment.
Immigration control is clearly high on the Government's agenda right now and from 22 January 2024 the maximum penalties for employing an illegal worker are tripling to £60,000 per employee. It’s never been more important for employers to have robust right to work processes in place. Employers of the future are also increasingly exploring sponsorship options and supplementary employment; some for the very first time.
January is also known as a time when recruitment is at its busiest! We'll be covering all things recruitment too including hot topics such as how to withdraw job offers if the need arises and tricky issues around references.
Emma Burrows will be joined by Vikki Cunliffe and Stephanie Taylor, and they will be pleased to answer your questions submitted beforehand and during the session. This session is being recorded and will be made available on our website. To see the full details of how this data will be managed, please see our fair processing notice.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
