ESG and social value are hot topics in real estate, but how can they be applied to the office sector? Trowers & Hamlins is hosting a webinar with a number of industry experts to explore that topic. The webinar is on Wednesday 17 February 2021 and forms part of our series on the future of office investment.

We are inviting experts in environmental, social and governance issues to consider the application of ESG to the office sector and the difficulties in measuring social value as part of an office investment strategy.

We will be asking our speakers for their views on a variety of themes including current best practice, how to entrench ESG factors into investment decisions, net zero targets and the fundamentals that prospective office tenants are now demanding. The panel will also consider valuing returns from the application of ESG principles, and the impact of environmental ratings on market practice.

Chair:

Yvette Bryan, Partner, Trowers & Hamlins

Speakers:

Sharon Brown, Associate Director - Real Estate Risk & Environmental Impact, Hermes Investment Management

Philip Parnell, Partner, Head of Valuation, Deloitte UK

Jon Lovell, Founding Director, Hillbreak
