Lerato Thini


Lerato is a South African qualified Associate in the International Construction team in Dubai and specialises in contentious construction and engineering matters across Africa and the Middle East.

Lerato has experience in advising many international development and construction companies in both the public and private sector and has represented various clients, including employers, contractors, subcontractors, supplies and professional consultants in mediation, adjudication, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution processes. In doing so, Lerato has worked extensively with various standard form construction contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, JBCC and bespoke construction contracts. Her experience spans across various sectors, such as port and rail transportation, energy, infrastructure and mining. Lerato has extensive experience resolving disputes under a wide range of international arbitral institutions. 

Prior to joining Trowers & Hamlins LLP and moving to Dubai, Lerato worked in the Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution team at Allen & Overy LLP in South Africa.
