Simon Robinson

Simon helps public and private sector clients develop new and improved places for people to live, work and relax and provide the community infrastructure to support these new places.

Simon is a strategic land and regeneration specialist with approaching 20 years of experience. His particular focus is on the living sector and mixed-use projects with residential aspects.  He is very experienced helping clients with long term development projects including complex land assembly, joint ventures, collaborations and value sharing arrangements and the varied challenges that can be encountered on these projects.  His practice is national and he has led the Trowers teams delivering major brownfield and regeneration development projects in the Midlands, the South East (including London) and the South West.

Simon's approach is straightforward, tenacious and above all, collaborative. He has the focus and drive to get deals done combined with the attention to detail required to navigate the peculiarities often encountered on large scale development projects. He is inspired by the positive impact that good development has had on his home city of Birmingham and collaborates with clients who recognise the importance of positive long-term relationships and of delivering value to the broadest range of project stakeholders.

Simon is ranked in the Chambers and Partners UK Guide 2024, where clients describe him as "personable and very responsive" and as being "a very good lawyer". Client testimonials include: "Simon has been a strong guiding hand who is well versed in complex contract negotiations" and "He's an excellent and dedicated lawyer who is reliable and enjoyable to work with."
