Emma advises local authorities, public sector bodies, registered providers and charities on a broad range of corporate, governance and regulatory matters.

Emma also advises new entrants to the social and affordable housing sectors, including institutional investors.

For local authorities, Emma has advised on the establishing of local authority housing companies and appropriate corporate structures, arms-length management companies, governance, procurement and vires issues. Emma has also advised on investment and asset management for local authorities entering into investment leases in the retail and leisure sectors with related town centre and other regeneration projects.

For registered providers, Emma has advised clients in relation to establishing new for-profit and non-profit registered providers, rule changes, group consolidation and restructures as well as Regulator of Social Housing regulatory compliance.
