Jane Hughes


Jane is a Managing Associate in the Projects and Construction Department. 

She specialises in advising on non-contentious construction law and has experience in advising a wide variety of clients including developers, contractors, consultants and private clients.

Her experience includes advising on the drafting and negotiation of building and engineering contracts, professional appointments and the construction aspects of development and property documentation. She has also advised on contractor insolvencies.

A particular interest is sustainability and "green" contract drafting.

Jane offers pragmatic, commercial advice with the benefit of previous involvement in contentious matters including adjudication, arbitration, litigation and mediation, allowing her to identify potential flashpoints early.

She was previously a partner in a London firm before taking a career break.

She writes regular articles in the construction press and is a regular contributor to Construction Law Journal.
