How can we help you?

Theresa Mohammed, partner at law firm Trowers & Hamlins has been appointed to the board of networking and support organisation Women in Social Housing (WISH).

WISH addresses the key issues that affect women in the sector. The main themes include building diversity across the sector, encouraging a new generation and inspiring career progression and growing talent.

The organisation also offers women a host of opportunities to network with other like-minded people, who are at all stages of their careers and across the whole range of organisations operating in the housing sector.

Theresa Mohammed commented on her appointment:

"An issue highlighted by WISH is that currently only 27% of the top 100 Housing Associations are led by women. Increasing these figures is something that I am passionate about. The sector has improved in recent years, but there is still a great deal to be done that's why I am honoured to be invited to be part of such a fantastic organisation."

WISH uses #Changetheface initiative to promote the career opportunities in housing and construction to young women.

The organisation's members span both private and public sectors of UK housing and across all disciplines working for local authorities, housing associations, contractors, architects, solicitors, accountants, house builders, project managers and engineers.
