How can we help you?

International law firm, Trowers & Hamlins, has collaborated with volunteer-led charity, Let's Feed Brum, to bring support and services to the homeless community in Birmingham.

Let's Feed Brum, Trowers' Birmingham office nominated charity, provides support, resources, and essentials to those who are at risk of or are actively facing homelessness within the city. The charity offers evening walkabouts, a chatline, regular events, and weekly breakfast clubs to those in need.

During the first year supporting Let’s Feed Brum, 42 Trowers' team members sponsored and volunteered at seven breakfast clubs, resulting in over 1000 service users receiving resources such as hot food, hot drinks, essentials, toiletries, and support.

Alongside weekly breakfast clubs, the team has hosted fundraising events such as bake sales and a Trowers’ Wimbledon 2024, donated physical resources including clothes and toiletries, and attended evening walkabouts.

After a successful first year, the Birmingham Social Impact Committee have chosen Let's Feed Brum as their office nominated charity for a second year.

Paul Scott, Construction Disputes partner and Social Impact Lead, said:

"In light of Mental Health Week and the theme of Community, several Trowers volunteers have been sharing the positive impacts they have experienced and witnessed within the community.

We are so pleased to be partnering with Let’s Feed Brum for the second successive year. Having another opportunity to work alongside this organisation, and create a meaningful impact, is extremely important to us.

At Trowers, we are passionate about having a local presence and driving positive change in Birmingham. Our social impact work is a part of what we do across all our UK offices, and we are actively encouraged to do 25 social responsibility hours as part of the firm's responsible business strategy. It's important as it allows us to support local charities and organisations.

We are excited to continue contributing to Let's Feed Brum's mission of helping those in need and helping people find the homes they need."

Alan Strang, Chair of Let's Feed Brum, said:

"We are grateful for the energy, kindness and time given to support Let's Feed Brum by the team at Trowers & Hamlins. Each week we offer hundreds of people essential supplies, friendship, and signposting to longer term help.  As a volunteer-run organisation, we could not support Birmingham's homeless and vulnerable communities without the generosity of the wonderful people and businesses who call this city home."
