How can we help you?

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has partnered with Buy Women Built (BWB), a growing membership of brands founded by and led by female entrepreneurs.

BWB is championing more than 200 top UK brands female founded brands across a plethora of sectors including consumer, food and drink, hospitality and healthcare, with founders of Missoma, Flowerbx, Sarah Chapman, Childs Farm, Little Moons, Jimmys Iced Coffee, Anya Hindmarch and Melissa Odabash all fully invested.

Announced earlier this year in celebration of International Women’s Day 2022 and seeking to boost female entrepreneurship in this country, the movement aims to change UK consumer behaviour for the better through audience education, via driving awareness of female-created products and via the recognition the kitemark it will provide.

By highlighting the origin stories behind the brands, and how the historically disruptive, entrepreneurial ethos of female founders results in brilliant products being created to meet their own needs, the movement engages with GenZ customers as early adopters, offering them a hub from which to learn about businesses with which they can create a meaningful connection, and from where they can buy to help boost the UK economy.

Trowers & Hamlins is the exclusive legal partner for BWB and brings the business and commercial acumen to provide expertise and commercial insights to members and build relationships with entrepreneurs and owners.

Alison Chivers, Partner at Trowers commented:

"Buy Women Built is such an interesting and already powerful network and we are delighted to be a part of it. Their goal in wanting to empower women founders and entrepreneurs is strongly aligned with our responsible business strategy and echoes our diversity, equality and inclusion values. We look forward to supporting members where we can and helping the many businesses at all different stages of their growth cycle to grow and expand."

Joanna Jensen, of Buy Women Built commented:

"We want to mobilise consumers to buy from female founded businesses by showcasing who they are and why buying from them is our quickest path to a stronger, fairer economy. Our network is also about helping female owned businesses to succeed and we work with our sponsor partners to provide advice and who can partner with them as they travel on their growth journey. We are excited to work with Trowers & Hamlins."
