International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has retained its top status in The Lawyer Global Real Estate 50 report 2020. The firm has been ranked the number one firm by percentage of revenue derived from real estate work for the second consecutive year.
The Global Real Estate 50 report ranks firms by the number of partners that spend more than 50 per cent of their time working on matters in, or related to, the real estate sector. This includes real estate finance, corporate real estate and litigation. For the first time this year, the report includes a new metric looking at firms’ real estate promotions.
The Lawyer said:
"Once again, Trowers has taken the top spot in terms of its strategic focus on the real estate sector, at least in terms of the proportion of total revenue it derives from Property. "And " Trowers has emerged as the firm that made the highest proportion of its 2019 promotions into the real estate group, with 50%."
Trowers' head of real estate, Sara Bailey said:
"We are extremely proud to retain our top status as global leaders in real estate. Our commitment to improving our built environment, to drive prosperity in our towns and guiding our clients in the creation of sustainable places is reflected in this ranking and it demonstrates the hard work of our teams globally. Our focus on the emerging issues and themes in the market, such as social mobility, urban regeneration and placemaking have proven to be a source of inspiration for clients and we're delighted that our forward thinking approach to real estate is recognised in this report."
