Trowers & Hamlins grows Malaysia presence

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has relocated its Malaysian office to new and bigger premises to accommodate the continued growth of its team in Kuala Lumpur.

Following recent recruitment, the new base will be staffed by two partners and five associates.

Nick Edmondes, one of the KL-resident Partners, said:

"The move comes at a time of continued expansion in our team in KL. Our new office further demonstrates the firm's commitment to Malaysia, and we are delighted that we have been able to move office within a prestige building; and to remain in the heart of one of Kuala Lumpur's prime business districts.

The growth is a reflection of the impact on our business in being the first international law firm to be granted a Qualified Foreign Law Firm licence, just over two years ago.

Our new office and expanded team will enhance and deepen our ability to deliver a full range of international legal services "on the ground" to our Malaysian clients and to the regional ASEAN market."
