On Tuesday 29 September, we explored the upcoming significant changes to the right to work regime taking effect from 1 October 2026.
From 1 October 2026, the UK's right to work regime will extend beyond traditional employment relationships to cover a wider range of working arrangements. The concept of extended liability will also be introduced. We looked at what employers need to do differently, the practical and legal challenges arising from the changes, and how organisations can prepare their people, processes and systems for the changes.
Rebecca McGuirk was joined by Vikki Cunliffe and Alice Spencer to share insights and practical guidance on the new requirements, common and anticipated compliance challenges and the key issues employers should have on their radar.
