With up to £800 million of funding available, bidders are awaiting the grant awards under Wave 2.1 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). This is a key funding opportunity for local authorities, registered providers and registered charities (either alone or as part of a consortium) looking to retrofit their social housing stock and will be crucial step in meeting Net Zero targets and addressing fuel poverty.

We were joined by Peter Rickaby, a retrofit consultant at Savills, in our practical session helping bidders navigate the delivery of the decarbonisation works required under Wave 2.1

Topics covered:

  • PAS 2035 roles and requirements in delivery.
  • How to structure your SHDF delivery contracts.
  • Pinch points in contractor negotiations.
  • Consortium approaches –what needs to be documented.

Followed by a Q&A session.

This was the second in a series of SHDF webinars that will focus on funding, project delivery and asset management.

The webinar was recorded and can be viewed below.
