Webinar: Heat Pumps: Installing low carbon heating and maximising DRHI opportunities

Net Zero 2050 creates significant challenges for the housing sector, not least the transition to low carbon heating. While we await the outcome of the recent consultation on support for low carbon heat (including the Clean Heat Grant), the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive remains available to support low carbon heating installations until March 2022.

In this webinar we looked at the current trajectory to Net Zero 2050, the transition to low carbon heat, and how the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (DRHI) can play a part in accelerating change.

Our key experts discussed how Government support for low carbon heat is changing, what support is still available from the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive, how the DRHI Assignment of Rights model can help landlords access funding, and practical guidance on heat pump installations.

Topics covered included:

  • The Future Homes Standard 2025 and low carbon heating
  • Future support for low carbon heat
  • DRHI - what's covered and how to apply
  • How the DRHI Assignment of Rights model works
  • What the Heat RHIght framework offers
  • How to specify and install heat pumps
  • Managing the transition (including resident expectation)
  • Case Studies

Speakers:

  • Iain Bevan, Daikin
  • Tom Garnett, HeatRHIght
  • Wes McGeeney, Thirteen Housing Group
