We are delighted to invite you to a seminar discussing  the implementation of "Constructing the Gold Standard: An Independent Review of Public Sector Construction Frameworks" with the author of the Cabinet Office report, Professor David Mosey (Centre of Construction Law, Kings College London and formerly head of the Projects & Construction team, Trowers & Hamlins).

In February 2021, Lord Agnew the Minister of State at the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury appointed Professor David Mosey to lead an objective review of public sector construction frameworks. The Review was completed at the end of 2021 and sets out 24 recommendations with detailed guidance notes which together comprise the components of a "gold standard" against which public sector construction frameworks can be measured.

This session is designed for framework providers, users of public sector frameworks and supply-chain partners and will provide:

  • A detailed overview of the Gold Standard Recommendations;
  • Guidance on how the Recommendations can be implemented by clients seeking to design and run a "Gold Standard" framework contract;
  • Tips on how to compare the different public sector construction framework agreements on the market at present and the key "Gold Standard" components in practice.

We are delighted to be joined by David Mosey and the session will also include insights from Rebecca Rees (Partner, Head of Public Procurement at Trowers & Hamlins) and Assad Maqbool (Partner at Trowers & Hamlins) on how to implement the procurement and construction recommendations, followed by a question and answer session.
